Frequently asked questions
What is a drone show?
A drone show is an aerial light performance where hundreds of illuminated drones fly in perfect sync across the night sky, forming three-dimensional images, logos, animated shapes and messages. It's an immersive, cinematic experience that replaces or complements traditional fireworks, with no noise and zero emissions.
Is SkySymphony a Greek company?
Yes. SkySymphony is the premier licensed Drone Show operator legally registered, insured, and headquartered in Greece.
What are the regulatory permits required?
We operate strictly under the HCAA (Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority) and EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) guidelines for the Specific Category. Our team secures all official airspace and security permits required for legal flight.
How does weather impact the operation?
Safety dictates our flight parameters. High winds, heavy precipitation, or electrical storms can affect operations. In case of unsafe weather, we provide zero-cost rescheduling options to guarantee your investment.
How much does a drone show cost?
Cost depends mainly on the scale of the show (how many drones your composition needs), the duration and complexity of the choreography, the location and any add-ons such as fireworks, lasers, projection mapping or custom music. Every show is designed bespoke, so we prepare a tailored quote after a short conversation about your event.
How many drones do I need for my event?
We operate a fleet of up to 1000 drones and scale every show to your event. More intimate occasions need fewer drones and simpler shapes, while large events with thousands of spectators use more drones for richer, show-stopping compositions. We'll recommend the ideal scale based on your venue, audience and vision.
How long does a drone show last?
A typical drone show runs roughly 8 to 15 minutes of flight time. Though it sounds short, it's a dense, gripping sequence of imagery designed to keep the audience captivated from the first moment to the last. The duration is tailored to your music and the flow of your event.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend reaching out at least one month before your event. This window lets us secure the necessary flight permits, design your bespoke choreography and arrange all technical support safely. For peak-season dates, the earlier the better.
What are the venue requirements?
We need a flat, secured area for the drones to take off and land, with clear airspace above the flight zone. We always carry out a site survey and assessment in advance to define the correct safety distances from the audience and guarantee flawless execution.
Can you show our logo or custom shapes?
Absolutely. We design every show bespoke: your company logo, names, dates, hearts, symbols or entire animated narratives. Our team turns your vision into a one-of-a-kind choreography in the sky, perfectly aligned with the identity and message of your event.
Can a drone show be held indoors?
Our shows — drawn from a fleet of up to 1000 drones — are designed for outdoor performances, where open sky allows the greatest scale and most impressive effect. Indoor venues call for a different, smaller-scale approach; tell us about your space and we'll explore together what's feasible.
Do you serve the islands and all of Greece? Can you combine with fireworks?
Yes, based in Glyfada we serve all of Greece, mainland and islands alike. We can also combine the drone show with fireworks, lasers, projection mapping and live or custom music, for a complete, multi-sensory performance designed especially for your event.
