1. What are cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, mobile, tablet) as you browse. They allow the website to recognise your device and store certain information about your preferences or actions.
2. Legal basis for using cookies
Strictly necessary cookies (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): based on our legitimate interest in operating the website; no consent required.
Analytics & functionality cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): based on your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the "Manage cookies" tool.
3. Cookie categories
Strictly necessary: essential for operation, security and navigation. These include the session and security cookies, the cookie that records your cookie choices, and the content-management (/admin) login cookie. Not used for marketing.
Analytics / performance: collect anonymous statistics about site usage (e.g. Vercel Analytics) so we can improve it.
Functionality: remember your choices (e.g. preferred language).
Marketing / embedded content: when you play embedded YouTube videos, Google/YouTube may set cookies. We use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
4. Third-party cookies
The website may use third-party services that set their own cookies:
- Vercel (hosting & analytics): provides hosting and anonymous statistics. https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
- Google / YouTube (embedded videos): https://policies.google.com/privacy
- Resend (form email delivery): handles sending your enquiries. https://resend.com/legal/privacy-policy
Fonts are self-hosted (no Google Fonts servers are called). We do not control third-party cookies; we recommend reviewing their respective policies.
5. Cookie retention period
Session cookies: deleted automatically when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies: kept for a defined period (typically 30 days to 6 months — e.g. the record of your cookie choices) or until you delete them manually.
6. Managing & disabling cookies
You can change your consent at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in the website footer.
You can also control or delete cookies from your browser settings: • Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies • Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security • Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy • Microsoft Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the website.
7. Data we collect
Data you provide: via the booking/contact form — full name, email, phone, event date & type, indicative budget and your message.
Data collected automatically: anonymised IP address, browser/device type, pages visited, date and time of access.
8. Purpose of processing
We process your data to: handle your drone show enquiries (quote, communication, show planning), improve the content and functionality of the website, and comply with legal obligations.
9. Storage & security
The website is hosted on Vercel's infrastructure (EU region) with encryption in transit (TLS). Form enquiries are delivered by email via the Resend service. We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures in line with Art. 32 GDPR (access control, monitoring, secure connections).
10. Data retention period
Form enquiries: kept for up to 24 months from submission or until their purpose is fulfilled. Analytics data: according to each cookie's expiry.
11. Transfer to third parties
We do not sell, rent or share your personal data for commercial or advertising purposes. Data may be transferred to third-party providers (Vercel, Resend) solely for the technical operation of the website, under data-processing agreements (Art. 28 GDPR). Where legally required, data may be disclosed to competent authorities.
12. Your rights
Under Articles 15-22 GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure ("right to be forgotten"), restriction, portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any right, email hi@skysymphony.gr. We will respond within 30 days.
