Welcoming 2026 in the Athenian Sky
On New Year's Eve, the sky above Antonis Tritsis Metropolitan Park became a living canvas of light. Organized by the Region of Attica, SkySymphony delivered a choreographed drone show as part of DEI Xmas West Park, marking the transition into the new year with symbols of hope, unity, and new beginnings.
The New Year's celebration connected two festive events of the Region of Attica — DEI Xmas West Park and the Protergia Christmas Village at Pedion tou Areos — bringing the spirit of celebration across Athens.
Hundreds of drones moved in perfect synchronization, forming luminous shapes and seamless transitions that unfolded like a visual story. Throughout the show, the sky was filled with twinkling stars, festive symbols, Santa Claus, and festive patterns, each sequence flowing into the next with effortless precision.
As the crowd counted down to midnight, the sky came alive with a contemporary symphony of technology and art. At SkySymphony, every show is a story told through light. On this night, that story was about the future.
